FAQ

  • A modern EHR is a EHR that meets today's requirements and is ready to realise innovation and transformation within healthcare institutions and within the mental health sector. A modern EHR has an 'open' architecture, is modular and puts health record management at its core.

The five characteristics of a modern EHR are:

    1. An open architecture

    2. A modular structure

    3. Optimised for digital record keeping

    4. A software interface (API) for output and input of all healthcare data

    5. Healthcare data is stored in a standardised manner

  • A traditional EHR is an EHR that evolved from patient registration and financial processing. Today, that still forms the core of the traditional EHR. Innovations and integrations with other healthcare systems are hardly possible.

The five characteristics of a traditional EHR are:

    1. A closed architecture

    2. A monolithic structure

    3. Is all about patient registration and financial processing, little attention to record keeping

    4. No or limited data input via software interface (API) possible

    5. Healthcare data is stored according to provider's own proprietary data model

  • No, only a modern Web browser is required to work with the mConsole EHR . As such, no local installation of software on a workstation is required.

  • Yes, the modern mConsole EHR is a fully integrated EHR for care registration, dossier management, workflow, invoicing and PHE access. We deliver all this from a single contract, making it nice and easy for you.

  • Yes, the modern mConsole EHR is modular in design. Each module can be licensed separately and seamlessly integrated into any existing EHR landscape. We have over 20 different modules to choose from, each with a richness of benefits and functionality.

  • Yes this too is possible with the modern mConsole EHR, you always remain flexible in every choice you make now and in the future.

  • We do not know everything about human functioning. What we know and want to record now will be different in the future as our level of knowledge grows. A EHR must therefore be flexible in the information capture of healthcare data, but stable in terms of software code. The openEHR standard was conceived according to this principle and makes this possible. The mConsole EHR is designed according to this openEHR standard and can handle this flexibility in information capture, while the software code does not have to be modified. Something we are proud of.

  • If you record more information in care system A about an observation, for example, and you can send it via a communication standard, but there is no space in care system B to store this extra information, you still can't communicate from A to B. It is therefore important that providers use a standard for storing care data. We lead by example in this regard.

  • The three founders of CODE24 have worked for years in a healthcare organisation themselves and therefore know healthcare very well. While working in healthcare over the years, they developed a vision of what could be improved in healthcare IT. This eventually led to the establishment of CODE24.

  • CODE24 is a specialised company with in-depth knowledge of healthcare data standardisation and interoperability in healthcare. Our vision of interoperability is reflected not only in our products, but also in our operations: we work closely with other experts within healthcare IT and jointly serve our customers. This gives you as a customer access to a large network of specialists, which allows us to secure the various facets of our solutions even more powerfully. These collaborations are central to our vision of the future of healthcare and contribute to the continuity we offer as CODE24.

We also find it important as a company to be accessible to our customers and partners and to maintain our agility. We continue to build on this foundation every day: both on our products and on the growth of our team and our network of specialists.
